On the edge of the Hälsingland forest stands this dance pavilion, a small, honest and rough-hewn venue for touring dance bands and folk bands. The building shows off its architectural features, with an exposed frame and roof structure, plus large panes of single-glazing with thin window bars. The rites of the dance are sympathetically expressed in the wooden corner benches by the sliding windows, and in the sociable verandas on three sides. This is a personal and self-assured building with no great pretensions – cheerful in its simplicity.
