The Landala table, designed by Emma Olbers, receives Sköna Hem’s award for Furniture of the Year 2016!
Charlotte Dedye Apelgren, Director of Interior and Design, Swedish Wood, comments on the choice of Furniture of the Year 2016:
“It is particularly good to see a piece of pine furniture named Furniture of the Year 2016 and it confirms the current trend for more pine in interiors. Almost half of the wood sawn in Sweden today is pine, so there is great potential to use more of this natural, renewable and climate-smart material in future interior design. Swedish pine comes from sustainable forestry, whereby every tree that is harvested is replaced with at least two new seedlings.”
