The Swedish Wood Award 2020
The Swedish Wood Award, an architectural prize administered by Swedish Wood, is one of the nation’s largest and most widely known architectural competitions. The Swedish Wood Award 2020 received a total of 130 entries. Of these, the jury has visited over 40 buildings and drawn up a shortlist of 12 nominees.
This year the Wood Award Gala will be streamed live from Berns in Stockholm. In addition to the award presentation, we promise to bring entertainment and the full gala feel direct to your living room.
On 2 December 2020, we will be announcing the winner of the Swedish Wood Award – the nation’s sustainable architecture prize. The award goes to a work that, since the last award in 2016, has made best use of wood’s possibilities to create incredible wooden architecture that both reflects and improves the times in which we live.
For us it is more important than ever not to lose sight of the bigger picture – we need to think sustainably. We live in challenging times, with external circumstances affecting our lives and our future. Together, we are therefore celebrating a sustainable society built on innovation, responsibility and faith in the future.
