"Cloud Baby Bed" - deisgned by Xu Ming

Designer, more than ten years of studying and working experience in France. Founder with his wife Virginie Moriette of MVW specializing in furniture, interior and architectural design. He has won a number of international awards including Andrew Martin Interior Design Award, Wallpaper Design Award, Elle Decoration Award, etc. He was invited to international exhibitions in Amsterdam, London, Milan, Chicago, etc. His studio is ranked in Top 100 China Design Companies by Architectural Digest. He has experiences designing for Richemont Group, L’Oreal, Shui On Group, Ubisoft, Roche Bobois, Giorgetti, etc

Xu Ming’s designs subtly connect contemporary Eastern and Western aesthetics, reflecting his cosmopolitan background. While acknowledging that creation is always influenced by environment, he nonetheless feels strongly that designers must push their limits of creativity to achieve new dimensions, new identities.

 

Cloud Baby Bed

 

Xu Ming thinks Swedish pine is warm, approachable and suitable for daily-used or children’s furniture. He also thinks Swedish pine is firm, stable and easy to process. So he could design some bold shape.

 

He realized the common baby bed looks like a bird cage that limits the baby’s imagination and the way it perceives the world. Therefore, he designed a playful and childish bed. The baby who lies in bed will be around with cloud of romance.
