Podcast episode devoted to Swedish Wood´s Karlstad Market Conference

PRESS RELEASE On 19 November, you can listen to industry organisation Swedish Wood’s episode on the Karlstad Market Conference. The episode will cover the current status of the wood market, how coronavirus has affected the wood industry and whether any changes can be seen in global trading patterns for wood.

“Like so much else this year, it all began with the pandemic, which put an end to plans for the Karlstad Market Conference in Sweden. We had to come up with a new approach that would satisfy the need to discuss where our industry is going from a market perspective. We are therefore dedicating a whole episode to the wood market in our newly launched podcast,” explains Mathias Fridholm, Director of Swedish Wood.

Usually, the Elite Stadshotell in Karlstad is busy with delegates every year on the 19 November - the Conference has long provided a natural meeting place for industry colleagues from Sweden and further afield. In its place this year, Swedish Wood is setting aside a whole segment of its podcast to explore the issues that would otherwise have been discussed face-to-face in Karlstad.

“I’m sure there are plenty of people out there with a keen interest in following wood trends, and podcasts are an increasingly popular and engaging format for sharing information. Our target audiences are both the wood industry and those who operate around its fringes, but I also believe that anybody concerned with wood will find our topics interesting,” says Mathias Fridholm.
